Scraggs Bank

The bund at Scraggs Bank was constructed by Forest of Dean Distict Council but the NNFA believe there are some improvements that can be made to optimise its performance and provide better flood protection for Newent.  These include:

• The grillage size and placement should be reviewed
• A spillway directly over the culvert would control overspill and overtopping (particularly in the event of a blockage)

Thus the Scraggs bund in its current state is considered by NNFA not to be performing in the way FODDC have planned.
