These photos show how a blockage of the Scraggs grillage restricts water outflow and thus the level rises behind the bund. Frequent heavy rain results in water entering Scraggs faster than it can escape and thus can fill to a point of uncontrolled over-topping. This occurred again on 19/20 October 2023.
